Short-term horse lodging outside Helena, run by Mitch & Alysia. Three indoor/outdoor 12x14 stalls with attached runways and automatic waterers ($35/horse/night); three larger 90x65 outdoor electric-rope pens with loafing sheds and automatic waterers ($25/horse/night); LQ dry camp $30/night (+$5 for extension-cord electricity). A $20 surcharge applies to draft breeds and draft crosses. Stays include use of the well-lit 100x65 indoor arena and 90x150 outdoor arena (no spooky shadows); a 40-foot round pen with 6-foot gate and panels and the arenas are also rentable hourly ($10/hr for overnight guests, $25-$30/hr otherwise). A portable wash rack and space for 2 LQ trailers. Hay ($15/small square bale) and shavings ($7/bag) available on site - pre-order so they are ready on arrival. An excellent stop before or after Canadian border crossings, with on-site veterinary appointments available to cut travel time for out-of-town guests, and a relaxing layover during rodeo season. Across from the Scratchgravel Hills BLM area (64 trails); experienced trainer on site. Hours 9am-8pm. A completed overnight lodging agreement plus proof of current vaccinations (EEE/WEE, tetanus, flu-rhino, strangles, influenza) and a negative Coggins are required for every horse before entering the property. No studs, crypt-orchids, or proud-cut geldings. Governed by Montana law, Lewis & Clark County.
